Strong Arm Robbery

On 04/19/2010, officers of the Frederick Police Department responded to the area of the 2500 block of Carrington Way for a strongarm robbery and assault. The juvenile victim reported he was approached by four black males, wearing black hooded sweatshirts, who struck him in the face and back and knocked him to the ground. The victim was then robbed of several personal items.

A canvass of the area and a K-9 track were unsuccessful in locating the suspects, who were last seen leaving the area on foot down Tuscanney Drive.

The victim received treatment for minor injuries at FMH.

Strong Arm Robbery

On today’s date at approximately 1330 hrs. Officers from the Frederick Police Department responded to a reported strong arm robbery at 500 W. Patrick Street. Upon arrival the victim was contacted in the parking lot and related the following information. He was returning to his car after visiting Rita’s Italian Ice. Once seated in his vehicle he was approached by a B/M who reached into the car through the open driver’s window and robbed the victim of an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency. The suspect fled the scene on foot in the direction of Catoctin Avenue. The suspect is described as a medium complected B/M, thin build with a stubble beard.

Strong Arm Robbery

On 02/11/10 at approximately 9:20pm Frederick Police Officers responded to the area of Degrange St. and Phebus Ave. for a report of a strong arm robbery that just occurred. A female victim advised that as she was walking on Degrange St. she was approached by a B/M and B/F. The B/M, later identified as Anthony S. Alston, struck the victim and took an undisclosed amount of money from her. The money was handed to the female and both suspects fled the area.

As officers were conducting the initial investigation Mr. Alston returned to the area and the victim positively identified him as the person who robbed her. Mr. Alston fled as officers attempted to interview him. He was captured after a brief foot chase and taken into custody without further incident.

The female has not been located at this time. She is described as light skinned with “yellow eyes”

Strong Arm Robbery

On 09-22-09 at approximately 2055 hrs. a 66 year old female was the victim of a strong arm robbery at the Frederick Shopping Center. The victim was walking near the Giant Eagle Food Store at 1305 W. Seventh Street when the suspect approached her from behind. The suspect took the victims wallet from her grasp and fled the area on foot initially. He was observed by witnesses entering a small Silver vehicle which left the area via the rear of the shopping center. The victim was not injured in the incident. The suspect is described as a W/M, 6’-03” with a buzz cut hair style. He is of thin build and has some facial hair. He also has blue eyes and a large tattoo over his left shoulder. The suspect was last seen wearing a White Tee shirt with the sleeves torn off, and blue jeans. The vehicle in which he left was occupied by several other subjects, one possibly a female.

Strong Arm Robbery

On 8/12/09, at approximately 2252 hours, officers from the Frederick Police Department responded to the 600 Block of W. Patrick St. for an assault report. Upon arrival, officers found a victim that stated a group of males tried to rob him. The victim stated that 3 or 4 males demanded money and began beating him. The victim received minor injuries, and no property was stolen. The males were described as possibly Hispanic and spoke with a Spanish accent. The suspects were seen running towards the area of James St. and left the area in a small blue or teal colored vehicle. The car was possibly a Honda. Strong Arm Robbery

Strong Arm Robbery occurred at 90 Waverly Drive at Elmwood Terrace Apts. At approximately 1400 hrs. this date officers responded to the above area for a welfare check. A subject was said to be in the area bleeding from the face. OFC. Conover contacted the victim, a 49 year old H/M. The victim stated he had been walking in the area and was approached by a B/M and B/F who asked to borrow money from the victim. The victim said he recognized the suspects from the neighborhood and agreed to loan them a small amount of money. The suspects lured the victim into the stairway of bldg. “G” at Elmwood Terr. Once inside the stairwell the suspects began to punch and kick the victim. The victim was robbed during the assault. He was robbed of cash and property. The robbery was interrupted by a resident from the building and the suspects fled the area on foot. The victim sustained minor injuries but refused medical attention.
