Evening on the Riviera

IT’S YOUR CHANCE TO ESCAPE THE MUNDANE AND EXPERIENCE A DELIGHTFUL ADVENTURE INTO THE EXTRAORDINARY

Frederick, Maryland – Mark your calendars now for the 14th annual An Evening on the Riviera, the area’s premier charity food and wine extravaganza that showcases the region’s finest restaurants, caterers, wine cellars, and entertainment. The black-tie optional event will be held once again this year from 7 p.m. to midnight at the E-ventplex at the Frederick Fairgrounds, Null Building, 797 East Patrick Street, Frederick, Maryland on October 8, 2010. This year’s beneficiaries are The Boys & Girls Club of Frederick County and The Women’s Giving Circle of Frederick County.

The delectable event promises to be more fun than ever. Wines are being selected and restaurants and caterers have committed to feature an array of sumptuous dishes and mouth watering treats for guests. A distinguished panel of food experts will present awards for food presentation and quality. Several microbreweries will also share their unique micro beers. Adding to the glitz and fun of the night is the tabletop competition, in which local designers and special event professionals exhibit their creativity and decorate the sponsors’ tables. Musical entertainment will be provided by ‘Round Midnight. An Evening on the Riviera also hosts the best silent auction in the area featuring art, jewelry, travel, sports, spa retreats, and more!

The organizing committee for An Evening on the Riviera is proud that 100% of the proceeds raised throughout the event’s 14 year history have benefitted a variety of Frederick County non-profit organizations. This is only possible through the generosity of our event sponsors. Tickets for this year’s event are $85 per person for a limited time. Food and alcohol are included with admission ticket. Guests must be 21 years of age or older.
