Commercial Burglary

On 04/25/2009 at approximately 0339 hrs, officers from the Frederick Police Department responded to a commercial burglary at the Lacolmaneta Grocery located at 5 Willowdale Drive. Upon arriving on scene, officers discovered that entry had been forced through the front door of the business and that the suspects had fled the scene prior to their arrival. The business’ surveillance tape showed what appeared to be two males enter the store. One of the males was wearing light clothing and a ski mask and the other was wearing dark clothing, a baseball style hat and a bandana. The male in dark clothing was wearing a shirt with “POLICE” printed on the front of it and both males appeared to be wearing gloves. Although the cash register was stolen, along with numerous Maryland Lottery scratch-off tickets, no money was inside of the register at the time of the theft due to the fact that it had been removed at closing.
