Commercial Burglary


On 4-29-10, at approximately 0259 hours, OFC Stephenson of the Frederick Police Department’s Patrol Division was conducting business checks in the 800 block of N. East St. when he observed a male inside of the vacant business located at 880 N. East St. Officers were able to gain access to the business and found the suspect, Roy Judd Clift, hiding inside. Further investigation revealed that Clift had broken into the business to steal stolen copper pipe and was in possession of tools used to commit the burglary. Clift was taken to FCADC for processing and to see a District Court Commissioner. Clift was charged with the following:

2nd degree burglary

4th degree burglary

4th degree burglary-theft

4th degree burglary- tools

Theft less than $100
