Handgun Arrest - Hinds, James Arthur

On 01/04/10 at approximately 3:30pm Frederick Police Officers were dispatched to the area of Lee Pl. for a report of a suspicious subject knocking on the door of a residence and possibly threatening the occupants.

Officers located a suspect matching the description in the area of W. 7th St. near Rt. 15. Upon contact the suspect attempted to run away and dropped a silver handgun from his jacket pocket. Hinds, James Arthur was arrested a short time later following a brief footchase and placed under arrest. A search incident to arrest revealed a quantity of suspected marijuana in his pants pocket. He was transported to Central Booking without further incident.
