Frederick's Most Wanted

INCIDENT SUMMARY: Frederick’s Most Wanted marks its 50th capture

The Frederick Police Department in partnership with the Frederick News Post marked its 49th and 50th captures on March 12th with the arrests of Gregory Wills and Robert Daugherty.

Every other week approximately four persons wanted by the Frederick Police Department or allied agencies are featured in the “Monday Advance” section of the Frederick News Post (which is distributed on Sunday), detailing whom we are seeking and the charges against them.

“This program has been a huge success”, according to Michele Bowman, Community Outreach Coordinator. “We are grateful for the support from the community in getting these criminals off the street.”

The Frederick’s Most Wanted program began in April of 2009 and has featured 80 wanted persons, 50 of them being captured to date. The Most Wanted program idea was a collaboration between several agencies that attend twice monthly CSAFE (Collaborative Supervision and Focused Enforcement) meetings. These meetings are held at the Frederick Police Department with local law enforcement and community partners. The goal of the CSAFE Violence Reduction Initiative is to reduce crime by identifying and monitoring offenders in the area.

The CSAFE program is made possible through a grant from the Governor’s Office of Crime Control and Prevention (GOCCP).
