Arrested: Blake, Joseph Salisbury


At 0633 hours on October 16, 2009, Frederick Police received a report of a strong arm robbery in the area of Burck and Madison Streets. OFC Wade Milyard located the victim, who told him that as she was walking to her car to go to work, a male assaulted and robbed her of a small amount of cash and her lunch. The victim’s shirt was torn, and she advised that the suspect had thrown her to the ground.

OFC Milyard received information from a witness, who gave him the suspect’s nickname and address. OFC Milyard located the suspect at his girlfriend’s house on West South Street. He identified him as Joseph Salisbury Blake, and detained him. With assistance from several Frederick Police detectives, an abundance of other evidence was uncovered, and Blake was arrested.

During the investigation, OFC Milyard learned that Blake was violating a protection order by being at his girlfriend’s residence. A smoking device with crack cocaine residue was also found in Blake’s possession.

Blake was charged with the crimes listed below and is currently incarcerated that the Frederick County Adult Detention Center. He is being held on a $100,000.00 bond.

  4. Possession of crack cocaine
  5. Possession of CDS paraphernalia
  6. Violate protection order
