On 02/09/09 officers were called the 1000 block of Staghorn Lane for a report of a sex offense involving a juvenile female. Investigation revealed the minor child was touched inappropriately by her uncle on the evening of 02/08/09.
As a result of an investigation by Detective Gene Alston of the Criminal Investigation Division, Francis Wesley Ferguson, age 52, (photo right) was arrested and taken to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center. Ferguson was charged with 3rd degree sex offense, 4th degree sex offense, 2nd degree assault and sexual abuse of a minor.
