Armed Robbery

On Friday June 5, 2009 at approximately 10pm officers from the Frederick Police Department responded to 1471 Key Parkway at the Hickory Hills Apartments for a report of an Armed Robbery. OFC. Peter Genovese was the first officer on the scene to make contact with the victim. The female victim told OFC. Genovese that she was walking into the apartment building when she was approached by a black male, whom she had just passed on the sidewalk standing with two other black males, and the black male pointed a handgun at her head and demanded her purse. The victim complied and the black male, whom she described as being approximately 6 feet tall wearing a dark gray hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled over his head, dark blue jeans and short “afro” style hair. The suspect and the two other black males, whom the victim could only describe as wearing dark clothing fled from the area across Key Parkway toward the Woodlawn Village Apartments.
