Frederick Police Academy

On June 19th, 2009 the Frederick Police Department will celebrate the accomplishments of thirteen of the area’s newest police officers. On this date one Thurmont Police Officer, three Annapolis Police Officers, and nine Frederick Police officers will graduate from the Frederick Police Academy – western Maryland’s longest, continuous, certified police academy.

Mr. Craig Floyd, Executive Director of the National Law Enforcement Officer’s Memorial in Washington, DC, will be delivering the commencement speech. The Frederick Police Department welcomes him to Frederick and welcomes his remarks and words of encouragement to the newest members of our law enforcement family.

Please join us and other local, state and federal officers and civilians on June 19th, 2009, at 2:00 pm at the Weinberg Center for the Arts in downtown Frederick in celebrating the graduation of the Department’s 51st Police Academy.
