Hit and Run

The Frederick Police Department responded to a personal injury accident involving a bicyclist who was struck by a vehicle in the crosswalk at the intersection of Willowdale Dr. and W. Key Parkway at approximately 1100 AM. The 18 year old victim was not seriously injured, but was taken to Frederick Memorial Hospital for precautionary observation. The striking vehicle did stop at the scene and offer aid to the victim, but when the victim advised the driver he believed he was fine, the driver left without leaving information. The striking vehicle was described as a tan or light brown Honda, possibly a Civic operated by an African American female who may have been of Jamaican descent.
