Commercial Burglary

At approximately 0249 hrs. Officers from the Frederick Police Dept. responded to a burglary complaint at Reliable Junk Co. The owner had advised this agency that person(s) had triggered the alarm and were currently inside the business. Upon arrival several units set up a perimeter around the property in an attempt to contain the suspects. The suspects ran from the property, one of them was immediately apprehended after climbing the fence that surrounds the property. Two other suspects were able to elude capture and leave the area on foot. Further investigation uncovered a vehicle believed to be associated to the matter under investigation. An extensive manhunt was mounted in hopes of finding the other suspects. Checks on the vehicle confirmed it was used in the crime, evidence was located in the trunk of the car. Further information on the vehicle indicated the owner lived in Howard County Maryland. Contact was made with the Howard Co. PD who responded to the owner’s address. Upon arrival a subject fitting the suspect description was located and detained by HCPD. Officers traveled to Howard County and took custody of the 2nd suspect. The 3rd suspect is still at large.
