Strong Arm Robbery

Strong Arm Robbery occurred at 90 Waverly Drive at Elmwood Terrace Apts. At approximately 1400 hrs. this date officers responded to the above area for a welfare check. A subject was said to be in the area bleeding from the face. OFC. Conover contacted the victim, a 49 year old H/M. The victim stated he had been walking in the area and was approached by a B/M and B/F who asked to borrow money from the victim. The victim said he recognized the suspects from the neighborhood and agreed to loan them a small amount of money. The suspects lured the victim into the stairway of bldg. “G” at Elmwood Terr. Once inside the stairwell the suspects began to punch and kick the victim. The victim was robbed during the assault. He was robbed of cash and property. The robbery was interrupted by a resident from the building and the suspects fled the area on foot. The victim sustained minor injuries but refused medical attention.
