Serious Assault

On today’s date at approximately 0330 hrs. Officers from the Frederick Police Patrol Division responded to a welfare check in the 200 blk. of W. College Terrace. Upon arrival they discovered a male subject lying in a driveway suffering injuries from an apparent assault. The victim was unable to provide any information at the scene. The victim was transported via MSP helicopter to Shock Trauma in Baltimore for treatment of the injuries. Detectives from CID responded to the scene and to Shock Trauma to continue the investigation. The victim has yet to be positively identified, his current medical condition is not available pending completion of tests at the hospital. The injuries appear to be isolated to the suspects head and upper torso and are not believed to be life threatening at this time.
