Assault Arrest

On 3-26-2009, at approximately 0018 hours, OFC Ames responded to Schaffer Dr. near Lake Coventry Park for a suspicious person call. The complainant, Stanley Walden, had advised FPD Communications that he was detaining a suspicious male who had littered a few broken bottles on the roadway. Upon arrival OFC Ames found that Walden had mistakenly thought the suspicious male was attempting to break into cars. Through the course of his investigation OFC Ames found that Walden had pointed a loaded handgun at the suspicious male, detained the male, and allegedly threatened to kill the male. Walden was subsequently arrest and transported to FCADC for processing.
