Vandalism to parked vehicles

During the morning of March 29, 2009, the Frederick Police Department received reports from city residents about vandalized cars. The bulk of the reports came from the Willow Brook neighborhood (McClellan Drive, Burnside Drive areas), and Fredericktowne Village (East 16^th Street and side streets).

Officers have taken eleven reports in Willowbrook, and six reports in Fredericktowne Village. In every case, a car was hit with a rock. Most of the cars suffered damage to the windows. The rocks appear to be gray river stones used for landscaping. No valuables were taken from the cars. No noise complaints or suspicious activity had been reported in the areas overnight.
