DUI Checkpoint

On Tuesday, March 17, 2008 the Frederick Police Department along with the Frederick County Sheriff’s Department conducted a DUI Checkpoint in the 400 bock of West 7th Street. This checkpoint was conducted in cooperation with the Frederick County Highway Safety Task Force under Checkpoint Strikeforce.

During the operation of the checkpoint approximately 270 vehicle drivers were contacted and provided information pamphlets provided through Checkpoint Strikeforce about the risks of driving impaired.

One driver, William Flannery, was arrested for suspicion of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.

The Frederick Police Department and their partners want to remind everyone that driving impaired or riding with someone who is impaired is simply not worth the risk. Don’t risk your freedom, your career, or your license. Designate your sober driver before the party begins.

Arrested: William Markham Flannery
