Grand Jury Indictment – Armed Robbery

On March 20, 2009, the Frederick County Grand Jury indicted Troy Darnell Goines, age 31, of Frederick (photo at right) on numerous charges stemming from an armed robbery that took place on March 28, 2008 at the 7-Eleven store located at 501 N. East St. For incident information, please see the attached press release dated 03-28-08.

The suspect in this case was identified through DNA evidence recovered from the scene. Detective Jerry Morales of the Criminal Investigation Division was then able to link Goines to the robbery through additional investigative methods.

Goines was served with the indictment on March 24, 2009 and is currently being held at the Frederick County Detention Center without bond.
