At about 2155 hours on April 10, 2009, Ofc. John Hoxie arrived to investigate a minor, two car traffic accident in front of 154 Willowdale Drive (a parking lot). While speaking with one of the drivers involved (Hoerauff), Ofc. Hoxie noticed the odor of marijuana coming from the car. He was able to see inside the car because the door was open. Ofc. Hoxie saw rolling papers, and what he recognized to be a burnt joint, on the center console.
Ofc. Hoxie arrested and searched Hoerauff. He found a bag of marijuana in Hoerauff’s pants pocket, as well as a bag of marijuana seeds in another pocket. Hoerauff was taken to Central Booking and charged with the crimes listed below.
The accident was handled with an exchange of information. There were no injuries, and both drivers’ insurance, registrations, and licenses were valid.
