Drug Arrests

On March 31, 2009, at approximately 2317 hours, Frederick Police Department Drug Enforcement Officers were following a vehicle on West Patrick Street, near Hillcrest Drive, when they detected an odor of burnt marijuana. At the time, there were no other vehicles on the road. The officers continued to follow the vehicle east on West Patrick Street and the odor of burnt marijuana remained. The drug enforcement officers called for assistance from their patrol counterpart and a vehicle stop was conducted in the area of West South and Ice Streets. Due to the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, the driver, identified as Mary Reaves, was arrested and the vehicle was searched. During a search of the vehicle, a quantity of methamphetamine, marijuana, smoking devices and a large quantity of US currency was found. Due to the contraband found in the vehicle, the rear seat passengers, identified as Danny Boyter and Glen Decker, were arrested. The front seat passenger, identified as Christopher Reaves, was arrested after he presented OFC Cox with a smoking device containing suspected methamphetamine residue. During a search of Reaves’ person, a quantity of methamphetamine was found.

Mary Reaves, Christopher Reaves, Danny Boyter and Glen Decker were transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center to appear before a District Court Commissioner.
