Armed Robbery off McCain Drive

At about 2321 hours on May 7, 2009, officers of the Frederick Police Department responded to a report of a robbery at knifepoint in the area of McCain Drive near Orchard Way. The victim had already returned to his residence in the 1200 block of Danielle Drive. Several officers were in the area when the call went out, and they arrived in less that one minute. However, due to a language barrier, the robbery was reported at least ten minutes after it happened.

The victim told OFC Sean Carr that as he was walking on McCain Drive, he was grabbed from behind by a larger black male. The suspect grabbed him around the face and put a knife to his throat. Another black male suspect, who was thinner, proceeded to reach into the pockets of the victim and steal his wallet.

An extensive search of the area yielded no immediate suspects. The case has been forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Division.
