Strong Armed Robbery

On 05-05-09, the Frederick Police reported a strong armed robbery that occurred in the 1000 block of Greenwall Place. A subject was approached and robbed at gunpoint as he was about to enter his apartment. At the time of that release, the investigation was still under way and officers were searching for the suspect without immediate success. Later in that shift, officer located the suspect-meeting the clothing and physical description in the area of Elmwood Terrace. At that time, the victim was not available to confirm the identity. The following day, the victim in the robbery confirmed the suspect located at Elmwood Terrace was in fact the subject who had robbed him on Greenwall earlier the previous evening. OFC Carr applied for an arrest warrant for Mr. Brenden Norteus in that robbery. The warrant issued and was served on Mr. Norteus on 05-15-09 without incident. Whether Mr. Norteus may be involved in other similar robberies in the area is unknown and is under investigation.

Mr. Norteus remains at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center on a $150,000 bond.
