Attempted Armed Robbery

On tonight’s date, 05-05-09, at approximately 2206 hours, a resident of an apartment building on Greenwall Place reported that a subject attempted to rob him at gun point. The victim advised that he was approaching his apartment door when he was approached by a black male wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. He further described the male as being “young”, perhaps late teens early twenties and he had facial hair on his chin. The hood was up.

The suspect brandished handgun and began searching the victim’s pockets. The suspect was scared off when the victim attempted to pull a fire alarm located in the hallway of his apartment. Police were in the area within minutes but were unable to locate any suspects. A K-9 Handler was called to the scene, but the dog lost the suspect’s scent during a track.
