Traffic accident / DWI Arrest

On 05/02/2009 at approximately 2347 hours, OFC M. A. Irons was turning from Rt. 40 onto Hillcrest Dr. when he observed a white Ford pick-up truck exit a parking lot ahead of him. As OFC Irons watched, the truck swerved in a large circle and entered the parking lot of 1090 W. Patrick St. The truck then crashed through the front of a building at this address, passed through an office and exited through the side of the building. Upon exiting the building, the truck went up an embankment and ultimately came to a stop facing the wrong way, in the Drive-Through of the Taco Bell Restaurant located to the east of the building that was struck. The driver of the truck was found to be highly intoxicated and was transported first to the FMH ER and then to Washington County Hospital for evaluation. He will be charged as listed below upon release from the hospital
